Dog Park Description
Dr. Jose Rizal is a permanent off-leash area that was created in 2001.
This off-leash area is located just south of downtown on the north end of Beacon Hill. It is currently 5.1 acres and offers spectacular views of Puget Sound looking west and the Seattle Downtown skyline looking north. The park is currently under construction because the Department of Transportation is building a bicycle path which will connect with the Mountains to Sound Greenway. There is water available for dogs to drink. The fenced area is accessed from a sloping trail at the north end of the Park. This trail is compacted gravel and follows rolling contours.
